Grant County's Leading Men compete for the title Champion Chef as they prepare some of their favorite dishes and compete for your tips! Each chef will raise tips (donations) from guests to benefit the nonprofit of their choice. In 2018, tip monies earned by chefs totaled nearly $20,000 for 30 local charities. Welcome to the 2019 Chef Registration page! 


Here you will tell us about the chef category you will compete in and the local charity benefiting from your tip jar. Please choose one of the many local charities serving the needs and opportunities of Grant County, Indiana.


As always, if you do not have a preference, please consider LEAD Inc as your charity of choice. 

2019 LMWC Event Tickets

Sample dishes prepared by local leading men. The evening will include a cash bar, raffle and auction items. Bring cash or credit to "tip" your favorite chef. The Champion Chef award will be presented to the chef who collects the most tips for his charity of choice.

Leadership Education and Development (LEAD Inc.) exists to develop and train leaders in Grant County.

With three universities, a community full of talented and caring citizens, strong business and manufacturing partnerships, and a rich heritage of leadership, LEAD Inc. is developing the next generation of leaders, to preserve a strong and healthy community. To do this, we utilize the following programs: 


  • Leadership Grant County: An adult community leadership program that has graduated emerging leaders and volunteers for more than thirty years.
  • Y.E.S. Network: Youth Empowered to Serve. An impactful three-year program with a unique curriculum for 8th, 9th and 10th graders to root them in self leadership, team leadership and community leadership.
  • Thompson-Ray House: Our historic home for local leadership. It houses our leadership programs and is available for business meetings, community events and family gatherings.
