raising funds for lead inc. and other local nonprofits

"There is Magic in New Beginnings" is the the of this year's Leaders Who Cook taking place on November 2, 2024, at 5:00 pm.  We chose this theme to launch our new logo and event name as we begin our second decade of serving the best dinner in central Indiana being the Grant County business "lace to Be", and cumulatively raising over $150,000 for over 30 local charities!

Leaders Who Cook is an event like no other with approximately 30 local chefs, all leaders in the Grant County community.  Each chef will serve their dish, earning tips (donations) from friends and guests in the process.  Tip monies will benefit the nonprofit organization of their choice.  Tip jars will open at www.leadgrantcounty.org 30 days prior to the event on Facebook and will conclude with a tip jar at each chef's serving station the night of the event.

Cocktails will be available along with fun activities and a live auction, all to raise money for LEAD Inc. and other local nonprofits.  Through this annual event, LEAD Inc. has brought together leaders from all walks of the community to celebrate their passion for making a difference and helping to showcase their favorite charity at the same time.

LEAD Inc. is the acronym for Leadership Education and Development, an organization serving Grant County since 1993, offering adult and youth leadership programs with the vision of preparing the next generation of community leaders and volunteers for Grant County.

"Leaders Who Cook" is a signature fundraising event for LEAD Inc.  The event is run solely by volunteer efforts.  The collaborative spirit of these volunteers and leading chefs is the reason for the event's great success.  Volunteers include community leaders, board members, the tip counting team, auction donors plus a secret group of judges who decides the best appetizer, side dish, entree and dessert.  The highlight of the evening is the announcement of the Champion Chef, presented to the chef who raises the most money for charity.

LEAD Inc. believes, "In every person is a leader waiting to be developed."  The organization exists to develop and train leaders in Grant County.  With three universities, a community full of talented and caring citizens, strong business and manufacturing partnerships, and a rich heritage of leadership, LEAD Inc. is developing the next generation of leadership, to preserve a strong and healthy community.
